How to signup to come along to one of our training evenings

Simply contact us via social media or email (saltirethistlefc@gmail.com)
to enquire about coming along to one of our sessions. We find most people contact us via Instagram Direct Message. One of our Committee will respond to you and will either introduce themselves to you on the night to welcome you or another member of the team will do this on their behalf. Coming along to training is a great way to see if joining us as a member is something you're interested in.

What to expect from training

Depending on the season, we will either do some fitness around Glasgow Green Football Centre itself or we will go through Glasgow Green park when it is light. We normally start with some fitness, then we have a pitch booked for football training itself. This will involve different drills, techniques and practising various game positions. We will also play a game against each other on one of the pitches for the last segment of the evening.

What to bring

If you are coming along to training, be sure to bring trainers for fitness and football boots (if you have some) for the pitch. We'd also recommend bringing a bottle of water, layers of clothing (especially in winter!) and wear comfortable clothing. There are changing facilities and toilets on-site for you as well.

How to get to training

We train at Glasgow Green Football Centre in the city centre. There is free parking on-site if you drive and there are local train stations and buses nearby. If you have any questions about how to get to training or travel enquiries, just let us know.
